If you are not supplied with Notepad++ via the central software distribution of the ITMC, please update manually!
An urgent security update for Notepad++ was released yesterday. The current version is 8.9.1:

Since the original exploit was probably done by a state actor who infiltrated the update infrastructure. See also:
