OH12: By Car

The easiest way to reach the main building of the ITMC is via the freeway A45 from the exit "Dortmund-Eichlinghofen". Turn right there onto Universitätsstraße. At the next set of traffic lights, continue straight ahead and turn left at the next junction onto Hauert Straße. At the first traffic light turn right onto Otto-Hahn-Straße. After about 300 m you will reach the ITMC building (on the left side of the street). The parking spaces on the parking lanes along the street are mostly occupied. A smaller - mostly also occupied - parking lot is located on Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Straße (entrance 36). A larger parking lot is located about 250 m further on Otto-Hahn-Straße (entrance 30).

OH12: By Train

From Dortmund main station, take S-Bahn line 1 in the direction of Bochum/Essen to the Dortmund Universität stop (journey time approx. 7 minutes).
From Bochum Hauptbahnhof, take S-Bahn line 1 in the direction of Dortmund to the Dortmund Universität stop (journey time approx. 15 minutes).

You can reach the building on foot in about 15 minutes from the S-Bahn station. Walk up the wide staircase of the S-Bahn station. Turn left along the university library, cross the Mensa bridge and continue straight ahead. At Martin-Schmeißer-Platz turn left until you reach Otto-Hahn-Straße. There, keep to the right and continue along Otto-Hahn-Straße until you reach house number 12.

EF50: By Car

The easiest way to reach this branch is via the A45 freeway from the "Dortmund-Eichlinghofen" exit. Turn right there onto Universitätsstraße. At the next set of traffic lights, continue straight ahead and turn left at the next junction onto Hauert Straße. At the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto Emil-Figge-Straße. Continue on this street until you reach the next crossing with traffic lights. There you will find the parking spaces closest to the building. You will reach the smaller one (entrance 21) if you turn right into Vogelpothsweg. If you want to use the large parking lot (entrance 18), continue straight ahead on Emil-Figge-Straße.

EF50: By Train

You can reach the building on foot in about 1 minute from the S-Bahn station. Walk up the wide staircase of the S-Bahn station. Just in front of you is the large building Emil-Figge-Straße 50. Use the footpath that leads straight towards it in the direction of the stairs.

The facilities of TU Dortmund University are spread over two campuses, the larger Campus North and the smaller Campus South. Additionally, some areas of the university are located in the adjacent “Technologiepark”.

SAP maintenance

The SAP production system will not be available on the Whitsun weekend and the following Tuesday and Wednesday (Friday, 06.06.2025 from 5 p.m. up to and including Wednesday, 11.06.2025, 5 p.m.)

Dear SAP users,

We would like to inform you that extensive preparatory activities will be carried out in the SAP production system on Pentecost and the following Tuesday and Wednesday in the run-up to the SAP S/4HANA conversion. As a result, the SAP system will not be available from Friday 06.06.2025 5 pm up to and including Wednesday 11.06.2025 5 pm. In addition to the Whitsun weekend, the following Tuesday and Wednesday will also be affected by the downtime. Please take these downtimes into account when planning your work and inform your colleagues!
