Update on the "Follina" vulnerability in Windows and Office

In the past few days, a security vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft products. What is particularly dangerous about it is that it can be exploited without user intervention. The team of the Security Information Center (SIC) advises to deactivate the affected Windows component immediately. For Windows computers in the central domain of the TU Dortmund University (administration), the critical component has already been disabled by the ITMC. If your computer is managed by your faculty in an AD (Active Directory), the critical component will also be disabled automatically from there. If you are working on a managed computer from home, we ask you to briefly establish a VPN connection to the TU network (for example via PulseSecure) so that your computer also receives the setting. If you are not working in a Windows domain (e.g. students or own PCs), you can help yourself with the following instructions.
