Introduction of two-factor authentication (2FA) in the VPN for employees

Since all TU Dortmund University employees already use a second factor when logging on to the central login server, we are now expanding its functionalities. From 01.02.2026, the second factor will now also be requested when connecting to the VPN for TU Dortmund University employees.

Simply use the six-digit number sequence in the app already registered for the central login server (SSO), which you can enter in addition to your user name and password when establishing a connection.
