Colleagues mourn the loss of Jörg Gehrke

Suddenly and completely unexpectedly for us, our colleague Jörg Gehrke passed away at the end of 2025 at the age of 65.
Jörg Gehrke worked at the ITMC for over 20 years and, in addition to his many years of responsibility for the Server&Storage division, was a competent and highly valued colleague, particularly in the area of high-performance computing. As head of CC HPC, he was instrumental in providing the TU with a local HPC cluster, which he coined the name LiDO. With the commissioning of LiDO4, he had planned the completion of his last project in this area.
As head of the CC HPC, he was involved in various state and national projects and specialist committees until the end.
The ITMC misses him and we miss him. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife and his family.
